New Orleans Advance Check In Luggage Service Review

Looking for something to do with your luggage after getting off the ship in New Orleans? Look at Advance Check In to store your luggage or even deliver it to the airport or hotel for you.

When we exited the ship there was a table set up for this wonderful service. We stopped by the table and the lady walked us outside to a stand. Where they tagged our luggage and gave us a card with their phone number.

Originally I was going to have them just store our luggage while we walked around French Quarter. Then I decided it would be so much easier if I didn’t have to come back here to get the luggage. I opted to pay $40 total for 4 bags to be delivered to us at the airport. They meet you in baggage claim near a certain carousel number. It worked very smoothly they showed up with all of our luggage and on-time.

This service is wonderful and went like clock work. It was fantastic to be able to walk around New Orleans for the day and then just meet our luggage at the airport. I highly recommend this company they did a great job.

Thanks for posting this, I will check into it when we cruise in June. Our flight home doesn't leave until 5:45 and I was wondering what to do with our luggage so we could explore NOLA without dragging it around all day.

I have to tell you that my parents had the same thought and this company did not come through. You would be better off storing your luggage on your own because this company was exremly unprofessional and unhelpful. You would think that since this is their one job they would know how to get it done. Instead, my parents, who entrusted their luggage (including important medical equipment) to these people, ended up on a one-week cruise sans any of their belongings.

Once this massive mistake was made, you would think that this company would try their best to rectify this horrible situation. Not so. Advance Check-In became unresponsive. They stopped answering their phone and became impossible to get ahold of. When a connection was finally made, Advance Check-in said the bags were on a flight to Cusco, the cruise’s first stop. Having never received confirmation of a flight number of baggage claim number (remember the lack of communication here), my parents spent the entire day at the Cusco airport trying to track down their luggage. To make matters worse, this day was also my mother’s birthday.

Finally, they were able to confirm that Advance Check-In never sent the bags. My parents were forced to run around and buy everything they would need for the rest of their vacation costing them hundreds of unnecessary dollars. Advance Check-In destroyed their much needed and well deserved vacation and they didn’t even care. They have refused to provide ANY reimbursement or compensation. What a horrible, horrible company. I implore you to never, ever use them.
