Le Havre to Paris - Private Tour

Hi:

We are on a cruise ship that stops for one day in Le Havre on June 1.

I was wondering if anyone knows a reputable tour company / individual that they could recommend that could provide the transfer back and forth to Paris and perhaps take us sightseeing too.

Presumably the tour would begin at 8 AM and return by 7 PM (the latest).

There could be 4 to 8 of us.

Please advise

Wendy

You might get more answers posting this on the FRANCE board. Previous posts answering this question boil down to two things: it's a long trip and expensive. You can cut the cost down by taking the train or renting a car, but driving in Paris is not a lot of fun.

>We are returning to Le Havre in April and we have decided to take the ship bus once again, however this tour we will take the 5 hour private time that just drives you in, drops you off and takes you back. I am hoping to find a private tour company in Paris that will pick us up where the bus drops us off and takes us around for the 5 hours and then brings us back to the bus stop.<

If you are still looking for a private guide to take u around for 5 hours I can highly recommend Christophe Burtaire of http://www.driverguidefrance.com/. He no longer picks up at LeHavre but would meet you in Paris. We had an amazing day with Christophe and got to see all on our wish list. If u are interested, his contact info is on his website. Christophe is a wonderful tour guide and I highly recommend him!

He has great reviews on TA if you want to check him out!

Where in Paris is the drop off when using Royal Caribbean? We may be interested in doing this also.

Last year we were on Celebrity which is part of Royal. Did Paris on our own from La Harve. They dropped us off along Cours De La Reine. Which is along the Seine. It is next to a park near Place De La Concorde. Looked like all the bus tours drop passengers there. You are at the end of Champs Elysees, like a block away. It was a good location if it is the same dropoff. If you are going to Paris the ship bus is the good way to go. It is about 2.5 hours drive each way. With the ship tour you don't have to worry about missing the ship.
