Carnival Triumph room question

I'm traveling in October with my family. We'll have 2 adults, 3 children ages 12, 4, and 2. I could have sworn when I was pricing things out the only available room for our party size was a grand suite but now I'm seeing a balcony as an option.

I guess my question is, can the 5 of us REALLY stay in a balcony room? I don't imagine we'll be spending a LOT of time in the room. I don't want to have a miserable time because we've crammed into a room but saving $2,000 is pretty appealing.

Anyone BTDT? Are there any floor plans available online?

Yes you can. There would most likely be a single sofa bed, the two twin beds, a Pullman and a trundle. If you're not attached to having a balcony, you may want to check out two connecting interiors or ocean view cabins and see if that might work out cheaper for you.

If you check on Carnival's site for the Triumph deck plans, you can see the balcony rooms which will take 5. Just hover over the rooms and you can see the ones that say max 5 guests (with trundle).

What week are you sailing? My family of 5 is cruising Triumph in October as well (10/10 departure)! Our kids will be 10, 7 and 5, but we decided on two rooms with connecting balcony -- that way we can always make dad go sleep in the other room if he snores
