Flyer Posted September 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2005 We found the deck area under Skywalkers very quiet in the daytime. Plenty of lounge chairs. This is on the deck above the swimming pools. In the evenings, after the shows, we would go to the Horizon Court for a cup of tea and walk around the aft deck. Very few people there after the first show. On the Grand you can always find quiet spots. Favorite things? All of it. Last December the culinary show was a blast with the skit performed by the Chef and Matre d'
DannyMac Posted September 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2005 Must things to do: 1. Sabatini's 2. Spa pool/steam bath on port days, usually vacant 3. Carribbean party Quiet spots evening: 1. Wheel House bar 2. Your Balconey with a bottle of wine Quiet spots day: 1. Wheel House bar 2. Your Balconey with a bottle of wine Guess we are creatures of habit, when my wife and I find an area we like, we just stay with it.
mpdahmer Posted September 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2005 Like on any of the Princess' "Grand Class" ships, I enjoy walking the Promenade deck, anytime of day. Three times around equals a mile. In the back of the ship you can enjoy the calming wake, while on the sides of the ship you can sit or stand along the railing and and listen to the water roll along the side of the ship while watching it or a passing island. The front of the ship is the best though. You can actually get to the furthest point forward on the ship and watch dolphins jumping/swimming along with the ship. It does get windy up there but IMHO it is a must to do if even just once. Happy Sailing...
Corinda Posted September 2, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2005 Greetings I was on the Grand last year and every afternoon I would go to the Conservatory on Sun Deck and do my needlework. It was very tranquil Hope this helps
