We are four adults flying into YVR and staying at hotel on Howe St, we are going to take a taxi, how much will it cost,also will it hold us all with four suitcases and four carry on.

Good news is you can now get very precise info on this - we went to a fixed rate fare zone system for airport TO city taxis recently. Howe St crosses more than one zone, but I think all the hotels with an address actually on Howe St (as opposed to being physically on the street, but with official entrance on a cross street) are in the Downtown/Kits $31+tip zone. The map of the zones is here, and most key streets are on it so you should be able to compare it to a Google, Bing etc. map with your hotel location pretty easily.

 

A regular cab will not handle 4 plus cruise luggage - most are Priuses, which are fine for 4 if you all travel light but for a typical cruiser that won't be enough. Good news is that the minivan cabs cost the same price and will be just fine for four plus luggage - you may need to wait a couple of minutes longer for a minivan is all.
