jlfawley Posted February 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2015 So... we are booked on the carnival conquest. Balcony room 8264. Will be four females in one room ( 2 being children) Just curious, have any of you been in this room or nearby? Worried about noise, since we are under lido. Also, my first time in a balcony on carnival. We will have two children, ages 11 and 2 and I am worried about having a balcony, for safety reasons, especially. With the toddler. Please any advise or recommendations. I have never cruised with a toddler (granddaughter).
k2excursion Posted February 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2015 I have not stayed near that location. However, looking at the deck plans, you are actually in a good part of deck 8. The lido deck above your particular spot has staterooms, not a public area. So you are sandwiched between staterooms, which is always a good thing. The only potential noise concern would be your proximity to the elevators. Some people may not be considerate when getting on/off elevators, even in the middle of the night. But countless people have had no problems with this, so you never know. It's all up to your fellow guests on your sailing. With the balcony, you could keep it locked, so that the 2-year old cannot go out there without you knowing. I seem to remember the lock being higher up, where small children cannot reach it easily. love my grandkids Posted February 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Keep balcony locked when not using it and dont let the little one out there without adult supervision. Would worry about them climbing on a chair and looking over.
