I know this post is several years old, but did you wind up doing this excursion? If so, how was it? I have kids similar ages and we are looking into doing this on our upcoming cruise on the Epic, but I can't really find any reviews! Thanks!

In case they don't get back to you, my kids are the same age. We used Stingray City Sailing for stingrays and snorkeling, and had a wonderful time. Their max is 25 per tour and was not crowded at all. The RCCL excursion was a double decker boat that looked packed. I imagine NCL puts as many as will fit on their excursion as well.

Best not to take any with a double decker boat -- private or with the ship.

Some private excursions do use double decker boats so beware.

Why is that? Just because double decker means more people or is there another reason?
