Can you split freestyle choice between UDP and UBP with 3?

Thinking of bringing our 20 yo son with us on a cruise next January. DH & I would definitely want the UBP but him getting the soda plan would be pretty much useless (he doesn't drink soda much). We plan to buy the UDP for DH & I. Is there any way to have him get the UDP as his Freestyle Choice option instead of the UBP or does it have to be the same across the whole cabin? Thanks!

Can't split the options in the stateroom. The UBP is really a great perk for the two of you even if your son didn't drink any soda or other drinks included in the soda package.
