Exercise on Nieuw Amsterdam

Hi! Hubs and I enjoy using the gym each morning while cruising but have added yoga to our routine since the beginning of the year. Does anyone have info on these types of classes they hold on this ship? We are new to HAL and just wondering how the yoga and /or Pilates is an dhow much they cost? On other lines you have to sign up quickly as they fill up, is this the case on HAL, as well? Thanks for your help! Just 11 days until we head south for our cruise!!!!!! Yippee Skippee!! New ship, new adventures! And I am excited to try out a cabana- we have one on the Lido deck....

The ships I've been on have morning stretches and abs classes around 7am each morning. They may have an actual yoga class as well if there is enough interest. I don't think there is a cost for the former but there may be for the later.

 

Check the daily "On Location" guide for the times and locations (Fitness Center).

I don't recall yoga on our last cruise, but if there were any classes most of them came with an extra cost $12 per class. You have to sign up in advance. At least on my trip, there were never full classes. The morning, evening stretches were free. There was another class for free as well that varied.

A friend who cruises with us occasionally used to attend yoga classes. I'm pretty sure there was a $12/class charge, with a small reduction if you bought 3 in advance (non-refundable). I'm also pretty sure she used to buy the 3 in advance, go to 1 class, then forget about it.
