Carnival Sunshine- Gluten Free Questions/ Concerns

I have seen several instances of people talking about gluten free options in the dining room on Carnival ships but have not heard much feedback on the other restaurants. I know and have contacted Carnival Special needs and will go see the Matre D when we arrive on the boat. Does anyone have experience emailing ahead of time to the Matre D?

 

My dh and I will be cruising in a month and while I love the main dining room I am more worried about what I will be able to safely eat on the lido deck. I am very interested in trying Guy's Burgers but wondered if anyone has had experience ordering gluten free there or at Blue Iguana's?

you should be able to get a gluten free bun for guys burgers. they also can make gluten free pizza.

We just got off the elation and I have numerous dietary restrictions. I did speak with someone prior to our trip and the maitre d as soon as we boarded. I preordered my dinner each night and let them know what I wanted available everywhere else. They had a gluten free goat cheese pizza and gluten free bread at the deli. They could also make gluten free pancakes and French toast in the dining room...they just asked for a heads up
