Always got ice twice a day. (if you need ice -call room service).

You can also ask where the pantry is and get ice yourself. We had a larger soft sided cooler and it was just easier to wheel it down the hall and get fresh ice then to empty ice buckets into it. Steward never filled it - but we didn't ask him to.

 

The frigs do not keep things cold enough and your cooler will do a better job at that.

This is definitely true. We had our first frig on the Conquest in 2003. The sodas got chilled at best - never cold. I called and they checked it out - said it was fine - that's as cold as it gets. I don't think it helps that they have it inside a cabinet with no ventilation for the hot air coming off the coils to escape. The refrig aways seemed warm. The cooler kept the sodas nice and cold. We would "rotate" new stock in every night so they would be cold all day.

How do you hand off the tip if you are going to give it to you steward the first day? Is it in an envelope or do you hand it to them?
