We are 7 of us traveling to St Marteen and we'd like to go from the Port to Orient Beach, then to Marigot and finally Maho.

Does anyone know the cost for taxi's PP for these trips?

Thanks

This will answer some questions, but between Orient, Marigot and Maho is not a posted designated route.

You can check this fare chart.

The listed fare is for the first two in a vehicle, with additional passengers $5.

For G-Luvs, consider Mullet Bay Beach, adjacent to Maho. You could taxi to Mullet, then walk the short distance over to Maho when you're ready.

Thank you Gary! Is there a local bus from Ph-burg to Maho? Once we used it to get from Marrigot to Ph-burg for $2 pp

Yes there is still the $2 bus that will take you from Philipsburg to Marigot. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Back St which runs parallel to Front St. You would need to walk out of the gated area, make a left and and look for the Courthouse, you'll see Front St first and then Back St. The buses are minivans and their license plate will indicate *BUS* and they'll have a sign in the window for Marigot.

IMO, a taxi is much easier, approx. $20 one way with 2 people, 3 or more prices goes down . There will be many people taking a taxi at the pier so you can share cost.

Life is Good,

Correct information, but they are asking if there is a bus to MAHO. :)

The answer is yes.

Same instructions, but look for a sign for "Maho" or "Mullet" or "M-Bay" or such. If unsure, just ask the driver.

I am going to Phillipsburg from the airport and I will be traveling alone and meeting my friends at a hotel there. What is the best and safest way for me to get to the hotel? Is getting a taxi at the airport ok and would the cost be the $18?

Thanks!

Yes, at the Little Pier, about 150 yards along the Boardwalk from your hotel (go out the back way).

The Water Taxi is $5 per person for a one-way. I think it might be cheaper to take a regular taxi.

I notice that Google Maps and the maps at some booking sites have the hotel in the wrong location.

Here is an annotated Google Earth shot showing the hotel and the Little Pier.

The Hotel is adjacent to the Casino Rouge et Noir.

Thanks Gary! We are actually looking into Mullet Bay Beach. I have heard there are not any restroom facilities near by. Does anybody know if that's true? We will have 5 kids with us so we need to have restrooms close by. Lol! Is there a hotel or restaurant that offer chair rentals?

thanks!

Mullet Bay has a port-a-potty and there are rentals for chairs and an umbrella, which are $5 each along with 2 places you can get food and drinks.
