Photo packages RCI

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just a word of warning on the RC photo packages. We just got off the Voyager on Thursday and along with a number of other people who became friends throughout the cruise, we decided to purchase the $349 photo package which you can get on disc. Imagine our shock and annoyance when we put the discs into the computer to find that of 323 photos taken of us, only 246 were there, with at least 50 doubles and triples, so in effect we have less than 200 of our photos. Another group had over 900 photos taken and only got less than 600 of them. We have all made contact with the company and am awaiting a response, but we wanted others to be aware and check their discs if they were on our trip, and also to make others aware to be careful when purchasing these packages.

On a recent cruise we overheard a young photographer complaining that she only had a week's training and was thrown straight into it. I think they do their best, but we have never found the atmosphere very good at the photo shop. I hope at least that the pics you got were some nice ones.

We are in no way blaming the photographers, as they were amazing. It seems to be a computer issue so hopefully we will get some resolution soon.

And yes, we did get some awesome shots but some of our favourite pics are missing so fingers crossed they can recover them and send them to us.

We (as well as another family travelling with us) had this happen to us on our December cruise on Voyager. We both had the print packages and found many missing after they took them to "pack" them up. We both followed it up once we were home and were totally amazed that we actually did receive our photos in the mail a few weeks later. It did take numerous emails to the company, however we did get a positive outcome in the end!! Hope you also have a good outcome.

This is why you're supposed to go collect your photos every day and get them added to your folder at the photo desk AND use the computers there to check if they've added all your pics to your room number correctly. We've used the photo packages several times and never had a problem.

Yes, we too have had photo packages on all of our past cruises without problem, however on this last cruise we did have this issue. We made sure we checked our photo folder and the computers daily and spent a lot of time making sure they were all added. On the final day of the cruise they said they needed our folders to "pack" them up - when we received them back again many of the photos were actually missing. As I said though, we did have a positive outcome in the end!

We did that mtn_couple, multiple times a day and on the last day, and were assured that our disc would have all of our photos on it. We are not idiots.

Positive end to the story....we finally got our photos after many emails back and forth the other day. Still missing one or two, but we've decided to cut our losses and be happy that we now have about 320 of our photos.
