Do they have an official one on board? Will it be listed in the daily itinerary? Anything I need to bring/know beforehand??

Thanks!

Go to Norwegian Roll Calls, look for your ship and then your cruise and sign up for the Meet and Greet for cruise.

Generally they are held on the morning of the first sea day of your cruise about 11 A.M. The ship provides a place, coffee, tea, juices and pastries. They are organized by someone on the Roll Call. Meet and Greets are considered a private event and not listed in the Freestyle Daily.

Welcome to Cruise Critic and the world of cruising.

I would definitely recommend going to your roll call and signing up for the meet and greet. NCL does a great job with snacks, and it is a good way to meet the ship's leadership. On our last cruise on the Gem (Christmas/New Years 11 days), we actually had a M&G on the first sea day, and then the leadership of the Gem invited us back at the end of the cruise to hear from us again. While some people did complain a lot, in the end it was nice to know they were hearing from the people!

One example that was eye opening for us. There was a young family on board with a 12 month old. The mom was interested in knowing what else might be available for her almost toddler (keep in mind this was a family traveling over the holidays, which found ALL ages aboard). While the cruise director wasn't able to create additional activities for this mom, he was able to help her find some places to let the baby crawl around and play. Also, the youth staff got to know this family because of an older sibling, and they always greeted the baby, asked to hold her, etc. The family was able to connect with wait staff who loved that baby and catered to anything she needed to eat, etc. This family came back on the last day and just raved about how wonderful the staff was onboard. I watched the hospitality director just beam as she told him about how wonderful his team was! That was worth every minute of attending that M&G!

Enjoy your trip and join your rollcall!
