puggylicious Posted March 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2015 Has anyone done this? I have read in some reviews that the line to drop off luggage can be quite long.
starfish216 Posted March 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2015 I too was wondering how it works with the new terminal. Does the driver drop off the other passenger(s) with their luggage or do you just drop the passenger(s) off at the new building and the driver then drops the luggage off at the old building before he/she parks? puggylicious Posted March 11, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 11, 2015 I don't mind walking and you have to take your luggage back to the car in the parking lot after the cruise anyway. Just wondering if walking up to the luggage drop off is allowable.
rjrpar Posted March 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2015 It is allowable and probably easier for most people

VaTech8912 Posted March 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Agree 100%. If you are physically able, park first and then roll/carry your luggage to check-in. Much quicker and less stressful. Have a great trip. Q is a fabulous ship.
JMG Posted March 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2015 We were on the Q in Nov and in Feb. They changed things up for Feb. They had traffic control stop cars at the intersection. If you were parking you car at the pier, they sent you to the left, directly to the parking lot. When you make the right turn towards the parking area, there is perhaps a block long area where they had baggage drop off. You then headed straight to the parking cashiers, parked you car and went to the terminal with just your carry on luggage. At the intersection, if you were being dropped off, you were directed to drive straight to the terminal and that is where those passengers dropped off their luggage. It really worked out much better than having everyone drop off luggage in front of the terminal.
BobKat406 Posted March 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Just got off the 3/13 cruise - we dropped off our luggage at the curb. Got our tags then parked the car in their lot. They provide a shuttle from the parking area to the terminal. Very easy -no issues. Porters were right there to tag the bags. Very short drive to entrance to parking. We were on the ship 15 minutes after we dropped the luggage off.
