Wyndham or Summerfield Suites Miami Airport?

Have been trying to secure a day room at the end of our cruise before returning to the U.K. The above have both offered good rates. Anybody have any opinions on either - also is either of them near any good shopping malls? I would quite like some retail therapy but DH would just like to relax by the pool!

Summerfield Suites are nice. I was there in April and I would stay there again.

Summerfield Suites are nicer than Wyndham.

 

No malls right by the airport, but Village of Merrick Park (very upscale shopping) is 15 minutes south in Coral Gables... http://www.villageofmerrickpark.com/

Thanks for the info. Leaning towards Summerfield Suites - have emailed them a couple of times but still awating a reply. Hope to hear soon as I like to be organised and hate leaving anything until the last minute!

 

WE are staying at the Intercontinental at Bayside for two nights pre cruise - thought we might go to Lincoln Road/Ocean Drive area one evening - is it far in a taxi and would it cost much? Thanks.

Ocean Drive is about 15 minutes away, Lincoln Road Mall about 20 minutes or so... I would guess about a roughly, approximately $15 taxi fare.

Trents - thanks for your help. Is taxi the best way to go or is it easy to get public transport there and taxi back?

No, it's best and safest to stick with taxis... Public transportation over there would be busses and I don't recommend those.
