Shorts in the MDR

I know men can't wear shorts to dinner but are shorts allowed for breakfast and lunch? TIA.

Absolutely, in all dining spots. But they must have shirts and such, obviously. No bathing suits.

Shorts are fine in the MDR even at dinner. Last time on the getaways I never put slacks on. I lived in my shorts.

The rules state shorts are not allowed in the aft dining room for dinner (Tropicana Room on Getaway). I'm not saying you didn't get away with it, but it's not supposed to happen. The other dining rooms, shorts are fine for dinner.

The original post just asked about the MDR of which Taste and Savor are also a part of and 2/3 of. Obviously we are very focused on being very specific here so you can wear shorts any place on the ship for dinner. other than Le Bistro, Ocean Blue and the aft dinning room .
