South beach overnight stay

My dh and I are sailing the Escape for 7 days then one day in s beach before getting on the getaway next feb. Any haelp would be appreciated as the best and efficient place to stay

Last Year we stayed at 'The Gale' very nice it was off season so the price was right and we'd recommend it...this year we are at "The hotel of South Beach" it's close to the center of South Beach....got a good price thru hotel.com....

last fall we stayed at the Crown Plaza south beach - a couple blocks from the beach but close.....in 3 weeks we are staying at a small boutique hotel called The Colony right on Ocean Dr. I am not expecting much from the hotel but the location is amazing

I've stayed at the Colony a few times, we were young, childless and don't remember much of the room itself. In my mind I blend the Park Central (another boutique on Ocean Drive, and one of the few on ocean with a pool) and the Colony rooms. We remember the bartenders name at the Colony. Victor. Strange what you remember. Lol
