Princess Vacation Protection

Nowadays, DW & I always get the Princess insurance. Especially like the can purchase up to before final payment and the cancel for any reason (get future cruise credit which we will eventually use anyway). Also being Platinum, will get the higher level coverage at standard rates.

Since we are going to Alaska in September we purchased Princess insurance. But my health insurance will cover us first then Princess will pick up balance is our understanding.

 

DH has already met his annual deductible for this year so if he should need medical treatment we will have very little if any out of pocket expenses.

I have heard that USAA has changed who they are using for cruises. Which insurance company now underwrites the travel insurance?

US Fire Insurance as of two weeks ago.

I've checked USAA travel insurance several times and they are consistently more than many of the reputable travel insurance companies. It could be because of our age. We now use Princess Travel insurance which doesn't price by age, but rather by the price of the cruise.
