At Sea 4Ever Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 We always purchase the Premium Package before we set sail that way once we board we are already all set, one less thing to think about. Leaving out of Galveston next month for the first time and wondering if we should wait for Day 2 to purchase onboard because of the liquor laws while in the port. Will the options of beverages be super limited the first day? Just wondering if it will be worth it the first day if there are many restrictions. Thanks! Lexus1224 Posted March 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) I don't know the specifics of the law, but I had a drink almost immediately. Went to my room and changed into my suit, then went to the pool with a drink. Edited March 23, 2015 by Lexus1224
Kcruiser2014 Posted March 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Very limited selections of beer wine. Mostly "house" liquors until in International waters. But, they can make most mixed drinks, just can't be too brand specific. I had plenty to choose from, as I am not picky. Margaritas and frozen drinks are my favorite. We were stuck in Port for three days last March, and they did get down to about two choices for beer, but other than that, it was fine.
At Sea 4Ever Posted March 23, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Thanks for the responses! I'm probably gonna just buy the package before we board like usual.
Lexus1224 Posted March 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Personally, I like to have everything planned/purchased before boarding. Less hassle on the ship. Also, after thinking about it a little more…I had the drink of the day while still in Texas. So, that is always an option.
