Wait-listed for ATD and Platinum

This is the first time I've been waitlisted for ATD since I became a platinum

member.

What are the odds of me being able to be confirmed for ATD once on the ship?

I'm hoping we are lucky and able to get anytime dining.

Thank you for your replies.

Since you are Platinum, the Maitre'D will try to give you ATD. However, if you have assigned dining when you board the ship, go to see the Maitre'D (time & place listed in Fun TImes). You have preferred dining time but not guaranteed dining time as a Platinum guest.

I have been wait-listed several times and always ended up with my preferred timing time prior to getting on the ship. If that doesn't happen to you, go see the maitre'd when you get on the ship and chances are he'll accommodate you. No promises though.

I think you will get confirmed before you board too.

Even though Platinum is not guaranteed their preference, you do have priority.

Did you book late? When we were still Platinum and booked late, we were sometimes wait listed but the just before the cruise, got confirmed.:D

Were both early and late waitlisted as well??...It may be that a larger than normal number of passengers signed up for ATD... I did a mock booking when deciding on a recent cruise and although there were cabins available...All dining options showed wait listed!! Go figure.

I found the best advice on these boards! Email the maitre d' of the ship two weeks before the cruise, not longer or sooner. They will be doing the place settings. Both times I tried this, the maitre d' was very receptive and we got ATD for 2. Good luck!

Thank you for your replies.

I've not been wait listed since becoming Platinum 3 yrs ago.

I did just book last week though, so yes we booked late.

Evening dinner is one of the most enjoyable parts of our cruise

and I will be disappointed if we aren't able to get ATD.

This happened to us on our last cruise. Wife simply called Carnival and explained the situation. The next day we received our confirmation from the Maitre'd.
