Iluvcruising2 Posted March 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2015 We visited Hong Kong recently, on a holiday (not cruise). Starting this thread to share some food videos I made, of the more local food we ate. We usually dine at local food chains. They are tasty and not too expensive. This one is called Australia Dairy Company. Famous for bad service. However, the breakfast set was pretty neat, costs HK$32. Iluvcruising2 Posted March 26, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted March 26, 2015 A chain eatery all over Hong Kong. It is cafe style, order your dishes, wait at the counter, self service. This was at Fu Tung shopping center, opposite Westgate. This was the Cafe de Coral at Hong Kong International Airport, public area. I had a roasted goose and chicken with rice and veggies set for $HK70.
sundaycomes Posted March 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Cafe de Coral is the best - great variety and excellent prices. I try to eat there as much as I can whenever I am in HK.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 29, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Tim Ho Wan is a famous local Dim Sum place. They have a few branches and their branch at Fuk Wing street was awarded a Michelin Star in 2010. This was our experience eating at the Michelin one-star restaurant. Their char siew (Roast pork) buns are very famous. Edited March 29, 2015 by Iluvcruising2
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 29, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted March 29, 2015 Tim Ho Wan has 4-5 outlets. Other than the original outlet at Fuk Wing (which won the Michelin star), we also tried the outlet at the Central station. Here is the video review.
