Angel Dust Posted March 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2015 I am posting for a friend. She just booked a regular balcony on Deck 8. Her husband has never cruised before and is worried about getting sea sick. Question is do you feel more in the Cove Balconies or the regular balconies higher up? Which would be better for them with their concerns Main Deck or Deck 8? This is my 8th cruise and I have never been sick. My husband and I booked the Cove balcony on the Main Deck to be closer the water and have more privacy.
CdrescherRBL152 Posted March 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2015 The higher up on the ship you are the more movement you feel. Hence more likly to get seasick on deck 8 as oppsed to deck
breenw Posted March 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2015 I agree with the previous poster. The higher up, the more sway you might feel. I am prone to extreme motion sickness (even in the backseet of a car), so I always take Bonine or Dramamine every day on the cruises. I do just fine with that. I try to take it at night because it makes me sleepy at times.
