Taxi Questions to get to Blue Lagoon

We will be in Nassau in a few weeks on a cruise ship. There will be 6 adults and one baby. We are going to Blue Lagoon and would like to take a land taxi to the Ferry Terminal. Do they have taxis large enough (van) to hold us all or will we need to split up? What is the cost? How long of a drive to the Ferry Terminal?

Thanks!

Most cabs at the cruise terminal are vans, so no trouble there. They may actually try to find a couple more people headed the same way (which is easy because there are a lot of people headed to Paradise Island). It seems to be a standard rate of $4/person to that part of the island, plus tip.

Great! That is very helpful. How long of a taxi ride is it?

Does the ship offer a Blue Lagoon Excursion? The taxi ride is not long but then you have to wait at the ferry terminal for the next schedualed ferry. When you book the cruise line excursion you take a ferry directly from the cruise ship dock. The cruise line excursion is much more convienient and it less time to get to Blue Lagoon. Also I think we spent more doing the taxi and ferry than the cruise line excursion. The reason we didn't book the cruise line excursion was because we could not make up our mind in advance what we wanted to do. We should have done it thru the cruise line.

I've checked and do not see an excursion with the ship. They go to Balmoral Island Beach instead.

That is a shame. On the bright side if the weather is bad you don't have to go. Also for the return they let you take boat that goes to the cruise ship dock.
