New to Royal Caribbean

Have been on 10 Carnival cruises but trying a Grand Suite on Freedom of the Seas in August! Does Grand Suite have walk-in closet, hairdryers in room? Also, what suite benefits will we get with a Grand Suite since we will be first-time cruisers with RC? How was Terminal 1 and what is the earliest boarding time for suite guests? Thanks for your help!

No walk in closer but lots of storage. Hair dryers are on all rooms.

We usually arrive at about 10:45 and are boarding shortly after 11:00.

 

Terminal 1 is great. When disembarking consider a few dollars for a porter. They have their own line to clear customs. We were under a half hour from the time hey called our luggage tag number to driving on the highway heading towards Orlando.

The best perks are being able to order off the MDR menu to your suite and dining on the balcony plus the free unlimited nightly happy hour in the Concierge Lounge usually from 5:30-9PM or so.
