New Orleans Parking for 2nd Car

We're going to be cruising out of New Orleans in August. Last time we cruised we parked at Fulton Place which we plan to do again. But, we're going to have 2 vehicles this time, possibly three, and we are hoping we can find a cheap parking garage/lot that isn't near downtown to park the extra cars and pile into the minivan for a short distance to not have to have 3 higher priced parking expenses, or possibly park one away and two at Fulton Place. Any suggestions?

$8 per day in a secure lot seems pretty reasonable to me. I don't think you are going to find something much cheaper. I suppose you could park your car in a shopping mall lot in Metairie or Kenner but having it sit for a week while you cruise may get your car towed due to abandonment.
