Hi, Cle-Guy

I just emailed you the email address you need.

Thank you to you and the other's who replied! Mission accomplished.

The issue...some ships use an apostrophe in Michael'sClub in the address, others do not.

{SARCASM ON} It's so odd that Celebrity wasn't consistent in its syntax in setting up those email addresses.{SARCASM OFF}

Update--

If you are eating in Luminae, you cannot order from the main dining room menu.

While I loved the menu and experience, my dh prefers something a little less upscale and since we cannot order from the main dining room we probably will not eat in Luminae for dinner again. :-(

I did overhear a conversation of a family dining in the restaurant last night and it appeared the kids weren't particularly thrilled about the menu either and wanted to go to the buffet. :-P

Where did you eat your dinners other than the specialty restaurants?

We were on the Reflection last week in a Suite. We had friends sailing in a standard stateroom. Because of this, we wanted to eat together and since our friends could not eat in Luminae, we opted for the MDR. Had a heck of a time getting a table after being assigned to eat in Luminae. The Maitre'd said that she could not get us a table at 8:30 seating until the next evening.

The first night of the cruise, we ate in Lawn Club (a good thing that it was planned.) The second night the Maitre'd still did not have a table for us, so she put us in Select. It was formal night and the service was terrible and rushed. The waiters, etc. barely spoke to us. Also, the Maitre'd and her staff were extremely rude. I tossed it up to them being stressed from all the passengers needing changes.

Finally, after not hearing back from the Maitre'd by the 3rd afternoon, I got my sweet Butler (Thank you, Nelson! ) involved. We were then given a lovely table for five in the center of the lower dining room.:) Had awesome servers (Rhandy and Marina ...so cute!) and we dined there 3 evenings. Since we had so much OBC, we chose to eat in Qsine one night, and then LCG an additional night (the last night.) We went into the MDR a little early on that last night and gave our servers additional gratuities. ;)

We have upcoming cruises and hope to be in Suites for them.

BTW- We ate our breakfast in either Luminae or Blu, plus room service for 2 mornings. All great!

PS - Does anyone know if an escort to a Sky Suite has been discontinued? I just realized that we did not get that "perk" this past cruise.

I'm not sure if it's been officially ended, but as Premium suites get escorted to Michael's where would those without access to Michaels be escorted to?

Can we reserve specific tables in luminea?

Good afternoon everyone! Onboard the beautiful constellation. Just got into our RS. Embarkation was incredible. We we're literally whisked onboard in about 5 mins and have been pampered every minute since. Had first lunch in Luminae and it was amazing. Please forgive the rough pics but I thought you all would enjoy a first look. My amazing husband had the seafood Brochette entree and I had the duck club with a side of the Butternut Squash Risotto. Words cannot describe the taste bud bliss!

True! The last time in a Sky Suite, it was to a room other than Michael's and for all suites. And then to the stateroom when they were ready.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dining experience. Both the concierge and our butler told us if we wanted to make dining reservations anywhere including the main dining restaurants to let them know and they would take care of it for us. The maitre'd for the specialty restaurants was awesome. We had several pleasant conversations with him. I really felt that all the crew we came into contact with during the cruise with the exception of one unhelpful cashier in the casino were eager to do what ever they could to make your cruise experience the best it could be.

As far as our dinner options, two nights we ate in Tuscan Grill, the first night in Luminaire, and the other two nights at the buffet. I must say the buffet was a bit underwhelming and disappointing. Tuesday we ate in the buffet for lunch and dinner and the food was almost identical for both meals. I ate chicken curry both times. On Wednesday we went up to the buffet for lunch, but it was unappetizing so my husband agreed to try Luminare again and he actually liked the burger. We ate at Bistro on 5 several times for Breakfast and Lunch. The only day it was busy was on embarkation day. The other times we were the only two in the restaurant, except one lunch another couple was finishing their lunch as we arrived. Food was good and service excellent since no one else was there.

Our only other real disappointment with the cruise was the casino. We spent a lot of time there and while our nest egg is safe, lets just say our Easter Egg didn't survive as well. While we understand the house always has the edge, we still expect to get a little bit of entertainment out of playing before we lose. This casino was extremely tight. If you play slots or video poker, just understand that your bankroll might not last as long as you would have hoped.:-(

I do not know about the sky suite escort. Our first cruise on the Solstice was in a sky suite and our second cruise on the Constellation was in a Celebrity suite. Neither of those times were we escorted on the ship. Only this cruise were we personally escorted and then we were taken to Michael's Club.

So since we are talking about the minibar we are talking either RS or PH yes?....I wonder why they care about the little bottles of spirits since we have premium drink packages at that level?.....not that important but seems odd...any thoughts?

Could you reconfirm that WINE is included...It's not been mentioned in the Perks FAQ's and other places, so would be something new.... Spirits are excluded as you have said, so that makes sense.

I just had my first Celebrity cruise (and loved it) so I'm not an expert on "X". However, I troll CC pretty constantly as regards the lines I cruise and think I know some of the answers.

I have a Sky Suite booked for my next cruise and can tell you that, from what I see, it is a suite but not really a suite for the purposes of Celebrity. The main reason we wanted a suite was for Luminaire, which was not up and running last month when we booked on board Silhouette. So far as suite perks, I don't really see any others. We do get a butler but, as we will presumably be sharing him with a raft of other Sky Suites, don't expect the kind of service you get when your butler is taking care of only a handful of suites. We don't get the bar in the room (actually less of that kind of thing than we had in Aqua Class) or the internet or the free premium restaurants. And we're not allowed in Michaels Club. So there are suites and there are SUITES.

So far as the casino, I've been on CC for a number of years and keep hearing that cruise ship casinos are the WORST in the world for payout.

Wines may not be on the menu, but our experience in BLU was that it doesn't necessarily mean you can't get them. One night in BLU the relatives traveling with us (serious wine people) asked for something not on the menu. A few minutes later it appeared from somewhere else on the ship. My experience on ships, especially the more upper class ones, is the sommelier knows what's around and can go get it if he or she can see that you know what you're talking about.

We really liked BLU and, from what I gather from the several threads I'm following, they will still take suite passengers. It's good to know it's there as a backup. I don't know if the premium restaurants are that attractive to us, especially with Luminaire and BLU available as part of our perks. To tell the truth, the ambiance is almost more important to us than the menu. I don't care how good the food may be in the MDR, I don't want the noise, rushed service and cold food people seem to experience nowadays.

Yes, we are talking about the RS and PS. I too am not sure why they are worried about the small bottles of spirits either. Maybe it's because they give you the other 2 big bottles. They were kind enough to switch out the two included bottles with Grey Goose and we ended up taking them home with us untouched. We left the bottle of sparkling wine as we don't drink it. DH drinks Corona so our butler kept him stocked with beer and lime. I drank the water and soda. While out and about I tried different wines and mixed drinks since I did have the premium drink package. May be as they refine the program the small bottles will be included.

Hvsteve1-- I totally agree that cruise ship casinos have some of the worst payback percentages. We typically gamble on all our cruises and end up with complimentary rooms, discounts on suites, cash back, on board charges comped, free dinners, etc... Those perks usually lesson the sting when we lose. And there have been several times we have won enough to cover the whole cruise cost with airfare. However, on this ship trust me when I say it has the WORST of the worst of payback percentages! But hey, that's why its called gambling.

Here's an update to my last post.

I had assumed different levels of suites had different butlers as I believe I had found that on another cruise line. There has been a post on the "other" Luminea thread where someone asked the butler how many suites he had. He told them 1 PH, 4RS and 3 SS. So one butler takes care of all different levels. That's not to say he wouldn't spend more time on a PH which has a higher level of service, but having a sky suite doesn't mean we will have a "butler-in-training or something like that.

Geography is more important to what butler you'll receive than Cabin level...

We've had some excellent butlers in Sky Suites and ok butlers in other suites. If one isn't as good, we train them or work around them :)

Happy sailing,

Jenna
