Well charges add up fast if you use cash you will only be able to charge too how much money is in the account. You can add more money to it if you run out.....but at least you know what you've spent...if that makes sense if you use debit you wont see the charges till the last day of sail and no debit doesn't work in casino. Hope this helps...

You can always check your charges on the kiosks at guest services, or ask guest services for a copy of your charges at any time during your cruise. We found this helps us track our spending.

You also can check it on your tv in your stateroom.

If the hold is not an issue, then just use a debit card. More convenient and more secure than carrying cash. Though a debit card doesn't always afford you the same protections that a credit card does. Credit card would be the best way to go overall.

I have always found that to be less accurate and don't trust it. It has a delay in the posting of purchases.

 

It doesn't always post OBC that you have earned until toward the end of the cruise. Other than going to the pursers desk, it is the best tool to use to track purchases
