Just off the breakaway today

here are my observations and thoughts:

 

2 adults cruising

 

1--me 15 cruises on all lines inc. 1 on ncl, other 1 previous cruise not on ncl

 

Had a very good time.

 

We were offered an upgrade to haven from balcony cabin 2 days before sailing.

 

Took it and was ver happy I did.

 

Haven made the cruise.

 

Not sure if we would have liked the cruise without it.

 

Easy embark special lounge for haven. But was told that would have embark photo taken in lounge and never was.

 

Haven lounge, cabin, haven dining room were all great

 

Haven Pool area a little To many kids but okay

 

Specialty dining very good, regular non haven dining not good.

 

Pub roast beef like shoe leather.

 

 

Do not bother buying lobster roll, small and not very good.

 

Wanted to buy map signed by the captain, no one in gift stores knew what I was talking about. I found it at guest services desk.

 

 

No lobster tails on 2nd night buffet as some had said.

 

Was told at pier had to walk long way into Nassau from ship. Then when I had made the walk saw free shuttle bus.

 

Ships on board a joke, no typical gift store. No room to shop.

 

Casino a joke very old slot machines, spread out funny.

 

Rock of ages very good

 

2nd city good

 

Bars good

 

Ship very clean

 

Spa very nice

 

Salt room a joke, I have more salt in my pantry.

 

Staff very friendly and nice,

 

Debark very easy with haven priority.

 

Only thing odd was with new ncl app on phone could tell my bill up to the minute but could not find out when reservations were for specialty dining.

 

Also missed things on ship that we wanted to do because no reminders around the ship or announcements.

 

No announcements about fireworks that I heard so missed them.

 

Ship very crowded and noisy. Trouble finding a lounge chair anywhere except in haven.

 

We would go on this ship again but only in haven.

Thanks for the review. We are returning to the Haven again in May with 12 of our friends. All in the Haven. We told them we wanted them to experience the Haven along with the specialty restaurants. We think most cruise ships are the same now. The Haven is a unique experience.

We only lasted two nights in the Oasis of the Seas MDR. Service and food were poor. We then went to the specialty restaurants and our daughter and family went to the buffet for the rest of the cruise.

Doing our 2nd trip this year in the Haven in 3 weeks, cant wait.

 

Since it is prime vacation time for schools for the spring holiday the ship would be crowded with families and kids.
