Fort Lauderdale Hotel Warning Watch out for special cruise prices

I wanted to book a room at the Ramada Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port and went on line to check the prices. The price for a regular room started at $72 and there were rooms available in that catagory. This included shuttle from the airport, shuttle to the cruise dock and free breakfast buffet. I noticed that there was a special code listed to get a "special" price for people going on a cruise. So I called the 800 number and gave them the code. The price came up as $144 for the exact same room. I then asked for the most reasonably priced room with no specials and got the $72 room.

I wonder how many people have thought they were getting a great cruise deal and went with the $144.

 

I still reserved the room, but for the $72. I liked the idea of the free shuttles.

From what everyone else is saying on this board the Ramada IS NOT the place to stay. They are saying RUN away from this property...not sure why but you may want to do a little research. Good Luck
