Embark time on Carnival Valor

This is our 6th Carnival cruise in the past few years (all out of Port Canaveral, we live nearby), and for the first time we received an automated call saying our boarding time was between 2:00 and 3:00.... We've always just arrived at port around 11:00 and never had any issues boarding then. Just wondering if this is a new thing? Or have I just missed the call in the past? I'm assuming it's to control traffic flow.....Any input is appreciated. I'm ready for VACATION!! 4 days!!!!

We're on the same cruise and got the same call. But my daughter and I were given different times even though we're in the same cabin and booked on 1 reservation. Odd. I asked the same question here on CC and was told it is an attempt to stagger arrival times but it isn't enforced. We'll probably get there before noon, earlier than the time we were both given.
