El Yunque and Old San Juan Itinerary Help!!!

My husband, myself and our 4 year old son will be docking in Old San Juan from our Disney Cruise in 2 weeks. We have 9 hours and would like to try and fit El Yunque and Old San Juan into the day. This is what I had planned - any suggestions are appreciated. I know that we can not take a taxi to El Yunque so that is another issue as well.

 

7:45: Arrive at port in OSJ

 

8:15-8:30: Head to El Yunque

 

9:15 - 9:30: Arrive at El Yunque - Explore

 

11:30 - 11:45 Head back to Old San Juan

 

12:30 - 12:45: Arrive in OSJ and explore until time to leave at 4:45

The only way to get to El Yunque will be a rental car or a tour. Personally I would contact Ellis and see what he suggests for time and itinerary. He has been great the 2 times I have used him. I would choose either the rain forest or OSJ but he might have a suggestion.

He basically said he will be there to pick us up. Is that the way we confirm??

Either way super excited he said he can take us to El Yunque for a short visit then back to Old San Juan to explore.

He is great. You will have a great time. He contacted us the night before our tour for final confirmation and made arrangements to meet.
