Scissors on board, will these be allowed? See pix.

Can I bring these on board? It would be in my carry-on.

I'm thinking yes, because the blades are rounded. I have scissors with pointed blades that I'll leave home.

Nothing like laying out on deck in the sun, crocheting granny squares.

I bring scissors like that in my carry on all the time. Have no problem getting them on a ship, or through TSA at the airport. Even pointy ones. As Bob said, blade less than 4 inches.

The scissors I bring are kid scissors.

Should be fine, but why not put them in your checked bags?

You can put just about anything in a checked bag.

Two reasons. I want to avoid a trip to the naughty room. And I have a long ride to the port, so I want to get some crocheting done.

I thought it was blade less than 4 inches. Thanks y'all.

If they aren't allowed on the ship, IMO it's better to find out while going through security to board rather than having to track down one's suitcase in the naughty room because they were picked up on the scanner - even if they're "legal" size, they may get flagged going through the checked luggage scanner.

I too crochet, I had no problem bringing my scissors on board the QOS last month. Since we drove to port I just left everything in my checked suitcase with my yarn.

I have never attempted to carry scissors onto an airplane.

My scissors are about 5 inches in total length, the blade being about two inches in length from the swivel point. I take my pointy sharp scrapbook scissors with me since they have a cover.

Enjoy your cruise.
