Hampton Inn Miami Airport West - Any suggestions?

This is the first time that we'll be staying in Miami after a cruise. Just wondering if anyone has stayed at this Hampton Inn, and what might be good to see and do around that area.

Not much of anything there... Unless there's some particular reason you need to stay way out there I don't know why anyone would. :confused:

We've got an early flight the next day and I figured it would be a good idea to stay close to the airport.

Ah ok, but that one's not really close to the airport at all. Calling it "airport west" is rather deceptive IMO. It's a quicker trip from downtown Miami to MIA than from way out there.
