tiggywig123 Posted April 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Hi, I have a few questions I was hoping somebody could help me with. I have recently booked to go on the Norwegian Epic on 3rd Feb out of Barcelona for an 11 night Western Med cruise. Very exciting! I just have some questions. 1) My only other cruise has been a Costa cruise so I was wondering does it work at all the same? For example, when ordering a drink, every person had to have their own 'Costa card' and each time we wanted a drink, the card was shown and had to be swiped through a machine. Every. Time. It got annoying, very quickly. I can understand this if you are paying for drinks, but we had an unlimited package. We will have unlimited on our NCL cruise, is it the same practice? 2) When making purchases on board, does it work similar to Costa, in the sense that we have a credit/debit card attached to our cruise card and make purchases using that card. Or do we pay cash? For example, in the shops, how do we pay? 3) In the casino, will we need cash? Or does that have to come from the card that is attached to your account? If it is cash, am I right in assuming it is dollars? I will probably have more questions but that's all I can think right now.
Guindalf Posted April 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) 1, yes, it's the same. 2. Yes. In fact you can't use cash in the stores, only your sign and sail card. 3. Yes, cash in the casino. You can get more using your S&S card with a 3% charge ($100 costs $103, etc.). ...and yes, everything is in US Dollars.
