BCguy100 Posted April 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Hearing that the wine packages are discontinued, does anyone have a general idea (or a pic of the listing) for bottles of wine prices in the MDR on Brilliance (or similar ships if prices are comparable)? We won't have need of a drinks/beer/wine package but will want to buy wine with dinner. Any help with the above is appreciated. Thanks, Morley. Rdytogonow Posted May 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2015 I don't remember the prices. But I like a Riesling, and I believe the bottle was around $25. If you didn't finish it the first night, they corked it and was brought back the second night.

Intruder Posted May 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2015 We too were disappointed about not being able to purchase a wine package. Purchasing a glass at a time can get very expensive on a 14-day cruise, especially at the $9+ per glass. You can purchase by the bottle and have them save what you haven't consumed but remember that if you purchase it in the dining room, it might cost you a couple dollars more. Therefore, go to a bar and purchase it there. You can take it to the dining room or back to your room to consume at your leisure. Remember that you are allowed to bring 1 bottle per person on board with you. The least expensive beverage package which includes wine, is about $35/day per person. That means you must consume at least a whole bottle every day to get any value out of this package. Packages cannot be shared.

Royal says you can bring two bottles per stateroom, no matter how many guests in the stateroom.
KingHal Posted August 2, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Morley - be sure to check out purchasing wine from the gift selection in advance of the cruise. This can give you better options. The wine can be delivered to your stateroom OR to the MDR or other restaurant. We have it delivered to the MDR and get our servers to send one over to any other restaurant we fine in in advance. The Belle Époque champagne caught my eye for our forthcoming Brilliance cruise.
