paynete Posted April 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2015 How early can we board the Celebrity Summit at Cape Liberty for our June 7th cruise. Is it usually very crowded when they first open for boarding?
Moobaby214 Posted April 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2015 You might ask on your roll call and have more luck.
gormless Posted April 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2015 To go to the Roll Call: Look above, there's a box labeled "Celebrity Cruises" with several links. Click on the "Find your Celebrity Roll Call" and enter the cruise info. Boarding time: see your Xpress Pass. The boarding time is from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. If you arrive really early (9:00 AM), you'll need to wait, then will be in a crush to board - then have to wait in the Oceanview until your cabin is ready. We're arriving by car from several hours away, probably getting there around 12:30 - 1:00 or so, and don't expect the queues to be all that bad. Arrive happy, assume that there will be some delays, and remember that it's worth it. :D
paynete Posted April 17, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Thanks for your reply. This is the first cruise where we will arrive the day before sailing. Unfortunately southwest's earliest flight to EWR the day of had us landing at 12:55pm and that was going to be too tight. Sandy1975 Posted April 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Thanks for your reply. This is the first cruise where we will arrive the day before sailing. Unfortunately southwest's earliest flight to EWR the day of had us landing at 12:55pm and that was going to be too tight. We always arrive around 10 (mainly to avoid the traffic of people getting to Bayonne Port) and just wait there for 45 min to 1 hour. It usually takes 15 min or so to get you seapass card and then just wait till they allow boarding. In the past, we were usually onboard by 11:15 or so. catspaw1 Posted April 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2015 Thanks for the info as I was wondering the same thing. I heard parking is a little bit of problem with the construction going on nearby. Plus you can never tell with traffic even though it is a Sunday AM. I hate to be in a long line to park & would rather just sit inside & wait rather than having a problem with the parking.
