benmon Posted September 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2005 I have never had a charge using ax traveler checks on any ship. Don't leave home without them. Ben
piper Posted September 11, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted September 11, 2005 Thanks, Benmon. Do you get a good exchange rate on the ship?
benmon Posted September 11, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2005 We we went it was the same as the banks. you may have to check rates right before you leave. Thing seem to change daily latley. Gas etc. I'm not going to promote any traveler checks company but a large one offers a debit card now. I can't wait to use it on my next vacation. BaumD Posted September 11, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2005 If you have US dollar travelers checks, they will exchange them into Euro's at the ship's exchange rate, which usually isn't too good. If you have Euro travelers checks, I believe they will cash them "straight up".
