Penang. TriShaw hire

We are in Penang January 2016, as part of a cruise arriving 12.00 and departing 2100.

Our initial thoughts are to hire a trishaw to tour the old town and specifically the various Klang houses (including the smaller, less visited ones).

Several Web sites I have located offer pre booked tours by trishaw, duing the mornings only and I wonder if it might be difficult to hire during the heat of the day whilst we are there?

Any advice would be great, and especially if anyone can point me in the direction of a reliable company or individual with whom we can pre book.

Thanks

We were there early January and had booked a private driver but saw lots of trishaws at the end of the pier that passengers were negotiating with. They were there all day and early evening, as we left port at 9pm.

There was a Port Lecturer on board and she told the maximum price to pay (can't remember how much) and to write a contract which you get the driver to sign and pay them when you get back, not before.

No personal experience with them but you could also check out trip advisor.
