jsant Posted April 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2015 We are thinking about booking a cruise out of Galveston in either December or March and I am wondering which month would be likely to have the better weather. The itinerary is Cozumel, Roatan, and Belize. I have only sailed out of Galveston in the summer time and am curious how long it will take before we reach warm weather. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Galveston Cruiser Posted April 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2015 December can be warm and March, cold. The temperature can vary in the months between December and March. Never cold here for long, but if cold, the day after leaving port will be warm.
MoCowBell Posted April 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2015 This past December was a bit chilly toward the end of the month, as you might expect, but having lived here all my life I can tell you there were some holiday seasons where we could have hopped in the swimming pool. March of this year was mild and very wet for most of the month. We got our April showers early and they have only just let up these past few days. I guess you could say it is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get and sometimes it can be a bit nutty.

We are looking at spring break week and the week of Christmas. I'm guessing neither one will be better from a crowd perspective.
