Freespir8 Posted April 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2015 We will be on our first b2b next year. We were fortunate enough to book the same stateroom for both legs of the trip. My question is do we need to repack and disembark, do we leave our items in the room and disembark or do we stay on the ship?
Rare www3traveler Posted April 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2015 You can leave everything in your room. You will need to clear the ship however but all you will need is your key card and passport. You will be given exact instructions sometime during your first cruise. My question is do we need to repack and disembark, do we leave our items in the room and disembark or do we stay on the ship? We did the same and our first B2B too (San Juan, Gem). I wonder if I buy a bottle on the first leg, do I get it on the 6th night?
Rare fabnfortysomething Posted April 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2015 is your cruise in USA or Europe? I gather you all passengers on a back to back in the States have to clear the ship for a short period whereas in Europe you can stay on the ship "in transit"
Freespir8 Posted April 25, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted April 25, 2015 It's in the US. The first leg is Bermuda and the second is a repo ending in NOLA. That might explain why the NCL rep stated that we wouldn't have to leave the ship. I have heard a few different answers.
flowers44 Posted April 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Your keycard from the first part of your cruise has to clear so they know the ship is empty. Then you shine your new keycard to signal that you have started your next cruise. Sometimes you have to go off and sometimes you stay aboard and just make the motion of going off. You will be given instructions about one or two days before the end of the first cruise.

Yes, buy your booze the first week and pick it up the last night of that week to use the 2nd week.

Normally someone escorts you and then you can reboard before anyone else.

Is there any problems booking a shore excursion with NCL, we want to leave our bags in the room, Jewelry and cash in the safe?
Medtech2 Posted April 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Thank you Medtech. Is there any problems booking a shore excursion with NCL, we want to leave our bags in the room, Jewelry and cash in the safe? You mean on day of disembark the first week? Normally those are done on the way to the airport. You'd need to ask if they would come back to the port terminal...

rbrugler Posted April 25, 2015 #12 Share Posted April 25, 2015 I am not sure what port you are leaving from, but, on our b2b out of Miami, we left all in the cabin and things were fine. We took a taxi to Bayside and then took a boat ride around the beautiful homes, ate at Bubba Gumps, and then went back to the ship. We had stickers that said We are Still on Vacation. Walked right thru, the terminal and they even had a wheelchair waiting for me. My scooter was in the cabin. We did not need to be at the muster for the second week. We were given our new key cards the night before.
