My 16 year old is going on a cruise with a friend and her mother. Does anyone know if she can put down a credit card (it's in her name) for her own expenses or will she need cash? I want to get the double points on the carnival card. I tried to do it online but because she is under 18 it won't let me.

I see no reason that card - in her name - would even get a second look.

I assume this is a card that she's used in the past - but if not I would make sure to complete a purchase prior to her board - just so that it's not a brand new card. As already stated - I would also make sure the credit card knows that she will be traveling so the to do block her using the card.

There is a form that prints when you print the cruise documents that gives permission for someone to use your card. If they don't have it carnival will not let her use it. I did it for my son back in Dec. you may have to like the card to the sign and sail account for the form to print.
