Olwyn Posted September 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2005 We are docking in Cozumel at 7am...(October 9th...yahoo!!) and want to visit the famous Paradise Beach. We will be a family of 5 adults and one toddler. How long do you think, that it might take us to get ashore and reach the beach, before the crowds?? We want shade, good seats on the 'right side' of the beach etc... Thanks so much! Olwyn:)

bruce-r Posted September 12, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2005 Unless you are the last of 10 ships in port that day, you will be able to walk off the ship.

Olwyn Posted September 16, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted September 16, 2005 Hi Tom! My mistake...our ship departs Ft. Lauderdale on the 9th, arriving in Cozumel on October 12th!:) Too much going on these days! I am moving 3 residences...and planning this entire family trip/cruise by myself. Will really need a beach and a margarita by then!!:D Can't wait to meet you..and hopefully your new baby! My niece Kate would love that...she is just 1. We are hoping for shady chairs and a table, near the iceberg...so Kate can wade in the sand! So looking forward to it. Any advice for us, Tom? Thanks so much, and see you on the 12th! Cozumel_Tom Posted September 20, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2005 OK...Cool! That's better! The Bump is due at the end of October, so you'll have to wait till next trip to meet him...though the way he's wriggling and kicking 20 hrs a day, he might want out early! Hasta la vista! Olwyn Posted September 20, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted September 20, 2005 How has Cozumel fared during these nasty hurricanes this season? :( Have you had any truly 'blustery' days? Just curious. Olwyn :)
Cozumel_Tom Posted September 20, 2005 #12 Share Posted September 20, 2005 We did get some outer bands from Katrina making things mildly interesting on the beach a while back, but nothing really since Emily. Actually this is the driest, sunniest September that I can remember...maybe the hurricanes altered our "rainy season" this year :) See ya soon!
