deliver42 Posted May 2, 2015 #26 Share Posted May 2, 2015 I believe the reason for no GSC for the Escape is the same reason The Oasis and the Allure don't stop at Cocoa Cay. The ships have too many passengers to tender in. By the time the last tender got in, it would be time to reboard. They wouldn't have any time to spend money there. ForSharonB Posted May 4, 2015 #28 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I'm looking forward to GSC May 10 on my NCL Sky May 8 sailing. The forecast isn't looking great and I so fear that we might skip because of the weather. If so, this will be the second time this has happened to me. I will be very sad! How often does GSC get skipped? Is there anywhere to see such stats?

You have more of a chance missing it in December than you do in May. I hope you get to go!

If so, this will be the second time this has happened to me. I will be very sad! How often does GSC get skipped? Is there anywhere to see such stats? I don't know what the stats are but because the Berry Islands are out in the open ocean without any large islands to serve as barriers, they get their share of the wind and weather, especially in the afternoons. It's usually always breezy on Great Stirrup Cay as well. But, NCL has done a good job of making it into a beach resort and the only complaint I've ever heard is that there are not enough lounge chairs right on the beach. Well, it would be hard to put 4000+ loungers right on the beach close enough to the food, drinks and amenities. That complaint was from someone who didn't bother getting off the ship until right before lunch time so go figure, then they wanted loungers for a party of 7. Excuse me?
