Question about cruise points

Since Carnival and Princess are the same company, can you carry over cruise points between the lines like you can on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity?

No, but you can get past passenger discount pricing on Princess because you have sailed Carnival. Also, Princess allows TAs to discount their cruises so you might be able to get a really good deal.

That's interesting that it goes one way. I am Ruby on Princess but only Red on Carnival and it would have been nice to combine the two since I am considering Carnival for out 2017 cruise but in the end that won't make or break it. :)

On Celebrity and Royal Caribbean the points don't cross. The upper levels on one are recognized on the other up to Diamond/Elite.

 

Cruising on RCI will not help you attain any points on Celebrity.

 

It is a nice feature and the perks are amazing on both compared to Carnival

They no longer do this. We did get some sort of discount but it wasn't Past Guest. Encountered this last year. YMMV

 

BUT Carnival and Princess do allow stacking of OBC- Book oboard, Shareholders, Military, Special fare, etc.

Wow I had no idea that they stopped offering the past discount rate to people who have cruised on other lines under Carnival Corp. That's a shame. Thanks Sadie.

no you cannot, just because they have the same "parent company", doesn't mean it is the same company, sorry
