Gardeneroflove Posted May 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Hey, we booked our first suite, what excatly is prioity check in? Do we skip the long line or get to board earlier? We never rush to port or on the ship but if we can walk on early, drop our stuff, then head to the riverwalk (we'll be in New Orleans), that would be great! Do you mean board then disembark to look around New Orleans? I don't think that would work. They don't let you off once you're on. It's not set up for debarking. loxley Posted May 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2015 You will get to get on the ship thru the VIP line. Your room will not be ready until 1:30 or around then. The VIP line will be your ONLY perk with the suite. I am not sure I would get off after the rooms open. You will not have much time.

carrieluvsgreg Posted May 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2015 You can get back off if you want to. I guess I've never thought about it... But where? Do you go back through where the floods of people are embarking? Then coming back on, do you have to go through the embarkation process? I guess I just don't understand how it would work. In 13 cruises I haven't run across anyone who has done that.

pattimelt Posted May 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Suite guests' rooms are ready as soon as they board the ship. No they aren't.. Not unless you are either Platinum or have FTTF. My suite has NEVER been ready unless I had FTTF or a Platinum with me (I'm Gold) until 130pm!!! Early access to your room is NOT one of the benefits of booking a suite. I traveled in suites a few times before I was platinum and they were always ready as soon as we boarded. Perhaps it is just not a policy for them to be ready, but ready, they were. setsail1975 Posted May 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) Just had an Ocean Suite last week on the Victory.. When we arrived at the Port of Miami there was a VIP lounge that we went to and we checked in there, then we were escorted by a Carnival rep onto the ship.. Our cabin was immediately ready but not only did we have a suite, we had purchased FTTF... We were delayed a little bit as a whole cause the ship arrived later than usual coming in( so we were told). Gardeneroflove Posted May 12, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Thanks! I like the idea of being to check in our luggage, all that stuff, then be able to go to the river walk. I have no want to be on the ship before our room is ready, I'm not lugging our stuff plus the stroller around. My kid want lemonaid (shh!!! she doesn't know we can get it anywhere else/at anytime! She had it for the first time before our last cruise, it was one of her favorite things.). Of course, we can go to the river walk BEFORE getting on the ship, as we did before, I was just wondering if we could get on, then off. The vip line is enough of a perk (we didn't book for a perk, but hey, let's try it since it's cheap, thought).
