thomarvin Posted May 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Not a problem. You might have to change cabins if your current one only holds 2, and the ship isn't at capacity.
SATXLady Posted May 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Wanting to add a friend, we've put down deposit. It will depend upon 1) whether the room you booked can hold a third person; 2) the overall capacity of the ship. If they let you do this, then the rate your friend pays will be the rate in effect at the time of booking. Additionally, your friend will also have to pay a deposit as soon as he/she books (unless it's time for final payment when they will need to pay the full price). Bottom line, call Carnival ASAP to ask.
SeaShell70 Posted May 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I just did it! Add my mom to our reservation. We had to switch rooms. It actually made our price per person drop. So for me and my son it is a good thing.
sjcruiser Posted May 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2015 We added a third person to one of our cruises a few sailings back. It was three weeks or so before sailing. The prices of the cruise had dropped drastically, and it was beyond final payment. With adding the third person, our overall rate dropped a lot, and we were able to upgrade to a balcony, with the third person paying less than half of what we paid for our interior room. Sometimes adding a third person can work in your favor!!! Enjoy your cruise!!!
rae.holmes Posted May 18, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Thanks for all the helpful replies! Called today, and was able to add my friend. It added an extra two hundred to the total cost and the deposit was $200 so lol her part is paid for. I wonder of this option will ever be able to be done on the website. We are die hard carnival.com-ers! So we book everything our selfs!
MCFTJCH2V Posted May 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Wanting to add a friend, we've put down deposit. Shouldn't be a problem, as long as your room is a triple, and the total capacity of the ship is at max. That third pax fare May possibly be at current rates though, and not based in your paid fare.
