Depends on what you are asking about. You seemed to have combined two things into one.

 

- The UBP is the Ultimate beverage package. It includes all beer, wine, and Liquor up to $11 a drink. If this is the pqackage you are asking about then you should purchase in advance. It costs $5 more per person/per day if you buy it on board the ship. The only reason I could see buying it on board would be if you ended up with a LOT of OBC and have no other use for it.

 

- The Viva Vino packages can only be purchased on board the ship. This allows you to select a number of bottles of wine from a set list to be enjoyed on the boat. The prices vary based on the number of bottle, and the tier of wine you select.
