Post Pre tour in China?

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a tour in China pre or post an Asia cruise ending or beginning in Shanghai or Beijing. The ships one is quite expensive, especially the Yangtze one?

My boss is doing a Wendy Wu tour before a Mariner tour later this year. In China being part of a group really is the way to go so I would check out Wendy Wu.

We have been to both Shanghai and Beijing twice in the last 6 months. They are extremely easy places to tour alone or with a local guide and driver at an extremely reasonable price. Shanghai is like Hong Kong on steroids and just as easy to get around. A local guide in Bejing will get you around all the main sites quickly and conveniently.

The reason we were looking at the ships cruise is it fits in the Yangtze cruise on the way to the terricotta warriors and Beijing etc. So expensive for 1 week..
