jamiehaas27 Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Are there any good waterfalls/cliffs that people jump from that you could recommend?
RayInPR Posted May 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2015 There really aren't any places in El Yunque National Forest that are safe (meaning deep enough) to do ledge-jumping. There is a rope swing in the river on Angelito Trail. There are some spots on the south side of the mountain (El Hippie comes to mind). There are a number of spots that are really only accessible with a guide.
jamiehaas27 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Man...was hoping you weren't going to say that. Any recommendation on a guide or where there are cliffs available to jump?
ozarkmama Posted May 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I know that Ellis does a couple of different tours to different swimming holes. http://puertorico.en.craigslist.org/trv/5027708071.html You might send him an email and see what he says

ozarkmama Posted June 2, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2015 Thank you, I'll check it out. We love Ellis. We have used him twice and he hasn't failed to give us a great tour. The first year we had never been to PR and wanted to see the rainforest. He picked us up at our hotel, took us to La Coca Falls and the observation tower but then we went down a side road where he parked the car, gave us towels, bread, and directions for a short hike. We hiked to a swimming hole where the fish ate right out of our hands. I don't' think he offers this particular tour any longer due to safety concerns but he knows a lot of off the beaten path places and I am sure you would have a great time.
